Drug Screening
A nother important component of the Adult Civil Citation program is the initial drug screening. A drug screen alone indicates only that a substance or its metabolite is present at or above the established concentration cutoff level in the screen specimen; it does not differentiate between occasional use, abuse or dependence. To determine the unique needs of each individual, in addition to drug screening, the program also utilizes nationally recognized, research-based screening and assessment tools, collateral and self-reports, and behavioral indicators such as improved functioning in daily life and work behavior, and improved consistency in complying with substance abuse treatment and legal requirements.Frequently Asked Questions
